My subject matter inhabits the same terrain: longing for vanished worlds via observations of urban landscapes and objects, trees and skies, still lives, people, family members.

Japanese Evening,
from Sidetracked 2010-2013
You can’t imagine what goes on
in the south of Tel-Aviv.
Real estate giants
are building an empire there.
I was merely in search of
a gallery,
which I eventually found
among scaffolding,
tarpaulin
and cement,
with the gallerist
unavoidably present,
and the exhibition
as unsatisfying as a
once promised Japanese meal
which yielded nothing more
than a few unremarkable sushi.
